L'origine del nome risale al precedente scafo, che era NDS Darwin dove volevano migliorare ed espandere la costruzione e la tecnologia della nuova edizione, NDS Evolution. Essendo in grado di resistere ai mari agitati e persino alle acque fredde e ghiacciate con il suo scafo in alluminio e l'alta tecnologia, NDS Evolution ha viaggiato in lungo e in largo dalle coste dell'Europa al Pacifico del Sud, all'Antartide, all'Alaska, al Pacifico Sudoccidentale, ai Caraibi e in tutti i luoghi intermedî. È stata costruita per l'avventura e l'esplorazione ma trasmette anche una sensazione di lusso con un concetto aperto e un interno ed esterno moderni. NDS Evolution può ospitare fino a 9 ospiti in quattro cabine eleganti sotto coperta. La cabina armatoriale a tutta larghezza con la sua vista panoramica dispone di una scrivania e di un angolo salotto sereno con accesso privato al ponte di prua. Le cabine degli ospiti sono composte da due matrimoniali e una tripla, rendendo NDS Evolution un'ottima opzione per le famiglie con bambini.
